Teamwork builds character; discipline builds integrity; together, they build a leader worth of respect. Since 2006, the players, coaches, and administrators of the York Grizzlies have experienced constant encouragement and support from the community. They took all of your encouragement and combined it with their outstanding passion and genuine love for the sport of basketball, and transformed it into a successful basketball league. Winning the mosquito championship in their first year of activity, the York Grizzlies have just begun developing their tremendous reputation. Today, they have given the opportunity to over 100 kids, to play the game they love. They have taught over 100 kids the value of teamwork, shaping their character and building their integrity. They have taught over 100 kids the significance of respect and the regard society holds to it. They are in the process of building our future leaders, and training them specifically in self-application. To apply oneself is to experience; to experience is to live; to live is to learn.
